Amazing deal!

An amazing deal today!!!

Z was off work today, so we decided to head to Super Target to see what deals they had. (they usually have a better selection of things than the regular Target stores...especially on clearance items!) We found a Blues Clues DVD we wanted to get Chase, plus got Ty another pair of footie pj's for Christmas. We were walking through the electronics and on the end caps of the shelves they sometimes have their clearance stuff......well, I found something I had been wanting to get for quite awhile now.....a cordless mouse!!! I was actually going to order one from My coke rewards with the points I had, but this mouse was such a great deal it was worth paying for!!!





It retailed for $25.89 and we got it for $6.47!! :)

Couldn't resist

Amazon had an amazing deal on a book I thought Chase would love. (well, I knew Ty would like it as well!) It was Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar Finger Puppet book!! Both boys love the original book, and with this book being under $3 I just had to get it for them! (and honestly, can you really have too many books?!? LOL)

Actually, yesterday afternoon was pretty amazing as well!!! In the mail I finally got a survey check I had been waiting for for $32!! Today's mail was awesome as well.......not only did we get Z's paycheck (which should go back to direct deposit next week......grrr!) but I also got the potty seat I had ordered with my Pampers Points!! I had JUST ordered it last week!!!! As I said before, i'm not a Diego fan, but this seat is SO adorable.....and soft!! (i'm jealous! LOL)




I just love it, and so does he! Well, to play with at least.....it's still going to be a bit before we potty train.

Ok, despite the survey money, paycheck and potty seat, the very BEST thing in the whole world happened today......WE FOUND UTZ'S POTATO CHIPS AT KROGER!!!!! O.M.G., I practically screamed when I saw them on the shelf.........HAPPY DANCE!!!!

In 2 days....

My baby will be 2 years old!!! EEK!! Yesterday in the mail he got a card and money from the in-laws, and we kind of had an idea of what we wanted to try and get him......with summer here we wanted to try and get him some sandals. Well, we decided to try Children's Place because they had a decent deal going on. I am SO glad we checked there first!!! They had the perfect sandals for him, not too heavy or tight on his feet.....and they were on sale!! Regular price was $16.95 and they were on sale for $10!! But the best part, we had a gift card from there that had a little left on it and the sandals ended up costing us a little over $4 out of pocket!!! Here are Chase's new super kicks!!

New kitchen table

I forgot to post about the new kitchen table we got! Since we moved the table we had was just way too big for the kitchen, so I asked Z about downsizing the table and he said maybe income tax time. Well, this week Kmart had a super cute (and affordable!) table and chair set on sale! Z picked it up yesterday on his way home from work and we put it up last night: (ignore the radio stand next to the freezer in the pic....we had to move it to make room for the freezer, and I have no idea where we will put it! LOL)



It's so much smaller than what we had, but is just perfect for the four of us! I did keep one of the older chairs to use for Chase's booster seat, and the cushions on the seats now are just temporary until I can get some new ones. :)

Some grocery deals

To try and be a little more upbeat, I should mention the great grocery deals we got this weekend. Kroger has a special going on where you buy 10 participating items you get $5 off. (can mix or match things) and this past Saturday we really cleaned up. They have Orville Redenbacher popcorn for $1.49. Right where the popcorn is there is a small machine thingie attached to the shelf that had coupons for .55 off when you bought one 3 pack of Orville popcorn.......that made the popcorn .94 a box. They also had the Krusteaz cookie box mixes (the ones I have raved about) on sale for .99. Attached to the Chocolate Chunk cookie boxes (and one of the Snickerdoodle boxes) are coupons for .55 off......that made the cookie mixes .44 a box! I know i've gone on and on about how good the Krusteaz cookies are, but I just can't get over how good they taste for being a cookie mix!! The only cookie I didn't care for was their peanut butter. (and anything peanut butter is my favorite!) But the sugar, chocolate chunk and snickerdoodle are amazingly yummy. And SO darn simple to make!! Just one egg and a stick of butter! I don't know how Krusteaz has managed to make a cookie mix taste so good, but they have. The one thing we have done differently is with the chocolate chunk.....I run the mix through a sifter to remove the chocolate chunks they use and replace them with my own chocolate chips (either Tollhouse or Gheridelli chips). Don't get me wrong, I love their chocolate chunks, but I prefer the other chips added.

Anyhoo, Krogers has the same sale going on this week as well. We ended up actually saving more than we spent on Saturday! I think we spent a little over $50 and saved close to $70! If you have a Krogers near you, you really need to check out their sale this week. :)

I LOVE Target!!!

Target has a dollar section as soon as you walk into the store and I just love it!!! I always seem to find some super cute scrapbook things, specially ribbon. I had only been in their scrapbook section of the store once but they were SO expensive! Well, the other day I finally looked more in the isle and found TONS of stickers for only .99!!! I got some cute alpha stickers and a few packs of chipboard alphas that I had been needing. I also found some adorable glitter monkey stickers that go with Chase's party theme.....and they also had some packs of 12x12 paper for only .99! I need to build up my survey money more and get back into that scrapbook section to stock up!!! (Then all I need to do is find the time to get some scrapping done! LOL)

I totally forgot about our trip to Target last night!!!! If anyone is interested, Target has the Glade Wisp Flameless candle on sale for $5.99......AND, some of the candles have a coupon on them that will give you $5 off, making the candle $.99!!!!
