Fall is here!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year!!! Watching the leaves change, the cooler air.....even the smell of the air! And of course Halloween and Thanksgiving are coming up. The boys already have their costumes and are SO ready to trick-or-treat! I've been busy doing one of my favorite things.....decorating! It's been so long since i've been able to decorate. Before we moved, I had no desire at all to do hardly any decorating. In fact, I dreaded when the holidays would come round........and it was so hard seeing all the decorations everyone had up. Now, it's finally my turn!!! I've only done a few things as far as Halloween decorating. I may add more, but we will see. I love how things look right now!

And....we finally got some REAL pumkins for outside!!

I can't wait to carve them! The boys are just so excited with all the decorating and the holidays coming.

Also with the weather being  little bit cooler, Jeff and I took the boys camping for the very first time! Ok, so we camped out right in the back yard, but it was still fun!!

They had so much fun! At first they were a little scared, but once they realized we were all together and close to home they seemed to loosen up. Now they ask if we can camp out every weekend!!

A new season

I just LOVE this time of year!! The cooler weather, the beautiful colors of the leaves, the smell of woodstoves/fireplaces......and of course the holidays!! Halloween and Thanksgiving......love, love, love it!

Love this time of year!

I am really enjoying the much cooler weather. This morning it was in the mid 40's when we got out of bed! It's still fairly cool outside so I can't open the windows up but it's still nice to not have the a/c on.

So a little while ago I ordered some Christmas gifts for the boys from Amazon, and one thing came yesterday!! (I SO miss my amazon prime.....I had it free with Amazon mom, but it ran out...BOO!) Every Christmas we get the boys new pj's and I found a cute pair for Chase. (i'm still holding out hope that I find him some Blues Clues pj's!)



I'm fairly certain I got the wrong size, but I don't want to go through sending them back and waiting again for another pair. I try and get pj's slightly bigger as they can sometimes run on the small size.....this time the size was correct! Ahh, well....he'll at least be able to wear the shirt and not be too big on him. And he'll have them for more than one winter! I'm still waiting on one other thing I ordered at the same time as the pj's.....once again, I miss amazon prime! :( I really need to go through the things we've already gotten the boys and write it down so I can keep track of what we have.....

OHHHH, and yesterday while we were out we got Chase's costume!!!!



And Ty has had a field day with picking on mommy because I do not like spiders.......LOL!

Welcome, Fall!!!

Last day of sSummer!

I tell ya, I don't like rushing time at ALL, but I am so glad to see this Summer go!! Between the heat and things that happened, it was a looonnngggg Summer. I'm just hoping and praying the rest of this year is good to us, and that next year treats us much better!!

I did get a few Fall decorations up and i'm thinking about looking for the rest of it today......somehow I just can't get into decorating this house. It just doesn't feel like "home" to me and honestly never will. I mainly do it for the boys, as they love when the house is decorated.

(yes, I am VERY grateful to have a roof over my head, but bewteen the druggy neighbors and issues here at the house, which were NOT caused by us, we just can't get out of here soon enough.)

Another taste of summer!

This weekend we got some cantaloupe and one of those small, seedless watermelons and they were oh so yummy!! The watermelon was ice cold when I was cutting it up, and tasted SO sweet!!!

The cantaloupe was just as sweet and juicy!! Chase didn't care for either one, unfortunately......but Ty has been eating it like crazy!!!

Yum, yum, yum! A taste of Summer......

I totally forgot to post about something yummy we found at Taco Bell last weekend.......we got one of their Pina Colada Fruitista Freeze and all I can say is YUM!!!!! It really reminded me of summertime in MD, when we would get the Pina Colada slurpee's at 7-11. With no 7-11's here in TN, I had missed those Slurpee's and am so glad we found the drink at Taco Bell!!!

Sprin has sprung!!

Ahhh, I have missed spring! Everything is new and fresh......and unfortunately it brings along nasty pollen. Poor Z has had issues with his sinuses, as well as a few friends of mine. I have also had some breathing issues but for the most part it has been fairly tame for me. This past winter was wayyyy too long, that's for sure!!! I wish we had our forever home so we could do some planting.....Ty wants our very own dogwood tree's and wants to plant some flowers, but I told him we couldn't do that here. He said "I can't wait for us to have a forever home so we can plant anything we want...." I felt so sad for him.

So last week we had company......as horrible as this sounds, I am SO glad they are gone! Nothing against them, but with this house as small as it is, having two extra people was rough! There were some other issues, but I won't get into that here. It's taken me some time to get the house back in order, and I still have things I need to do! (and yet here I sit....) Ty was off for spring break and he had so much fun, but he was SO ready to go back to school on Monday.......I guess he needed the "break" back to school, since when company was here he was run ragged. :( It was so nice of him to help, but I felt so bad that he had to do so much. I did my best to do things instead of him so it wasn't so much on him, but he was still asked to do so much. Ok, I don't want to turn this into a vent....LOL

We are still having issues with Comcast and the internet, but as of yesterday we were told the problem has been fixed and only needed to be "tweeked"......yeah, we shall see. Although, when the internet was out I did get some cleaning done...and got to work on scrapbooking! But I miss out on some good freebies with no internet, and that is definitely not a good thing! LOL

Well, I think I have goofed off enough.....I need to get laundry done and put away and pick up in the living room.....hope everyone has a GREAT Hump Day!!!

HUGE deals!!!

Last Friday and this past weekend we got some amazing deals on toys for the boys!!! Friday the boys and I went to Target and they had some toys marked down 75% off.......they marked them down on Thursday so it was all picked through, but I found an adorable stuffed Spongebob for only $1.47!! Chase loves Spongebob and Ty has a Ty brand Spongebob that Chase likes to play with so I figured this way he could have his own! I also got some good deals on a few other things, but that was for things around the house. (well, I also got some scrapbook stuff super cheap...I LOVE their dollar section!!! Plus, I used paypal/survey money to pay for the scrapbook stuff so it was basically free!!) On Saturday we went to Kmart and they had tons of toys marked down 50%......we found a cute Elmo toy for Chase and several Matchbox sets for Ty, all for Christmas!! We easily got over $75 worth of toys for just under $20. It feels so good to have things already put away for the boys for Christmas. I'm expecting several payments from survey's i've taken and i'm hoping to use that money for gifts for them as well!

Keep an eye out at Kmart and Target for some great markdowns!!!!!

Happy Fall!!!!

Wow, summer is gone. This year is just flying by!! We had a pretty amazing summer here. We welcomed our second son in June! He is such an amazing little guy, and totally completes our family. I really love being the mom of two boys!! Another big thing this summer was Tyler starting school. I can't believe he is in kindergarten. He is growing up SO fast!! Yesterday we got his school pictures back, and they turned out AMAZING!! Well, they messed up the background color......it was supposed to be green so we had him wear a light colored shirt. But the more I look at these pics the more I love them.....he actually has a genuine smile on his face! We're going to be mailing them out the end of this week, so once they go out and people start getting them i'll post it here.

I need to get off of here and work on dinner a little more......I took a chicken pot pie out of the freezer that we had made earlier this year (we make at least two pies at a time, minus the crust, and always freeze one) and I just put the crust on it I made and want to check on it. The tree is up....

...presents are wrapped.....COME ON CHRISTMAS!!!!! I SO can't wait to see Tyler's face on Christmas morning! We got him a huge 42in. stocking from the Dollartree to put stocking stuffers in. We didn't get him alot for his stocking, but some of the things are a little big for a regualr sized stocking, so we got the big one! Wal-mart had a stocking that was 3?in. (not sure what size it was again...) for $2.97, so I figured it would be smarter to get the huge stocking from Dollartree. Also, to help get in the Chrismtas spirit even more we've been playing Christmas music on Sirius radio, Country Roadhouse. They play lots of old classic music, which I love!!!! Burl Ives, Gene Autry, Brenda Lee.....LOVE it!!! I also got a free Christmas ringtone for my cellphone! LOL

Now if I could only stop myself from getting more gifts for Tyler i'll be good to go! Everytime I get a gift card for someplace my first thought is, "ok, what can I get for Ty?!?" I did get something ordered for Zane that should be here sometime next week. It's not what I originally wanted to get him, but I know he will love it. I'm still waiting for at least $45 in gift cards for Amazon that I should hopefully have within the next week or so.....possibly even another $40 to go with that. I just wish Amazon Prime wasn't so gosh darn expensive. I'd love to find a few people to go in on a prime membership with......that would be awesome!!

Ho-Ho-Ho!!!

Almost turkey day!!

So I took our turkey out this morning. He is now sitting in the bathtub with cold water.....thaw out, baby!!! mmm, I have been wanting some turkey with all the trimmings for SO long!!! It's just going to be us this year as usual, but that works for me. I'd love to have family here, but I get so sick and tired of all the "excuses" they make for not being able to come for the holiday. But hey, we are the one's who decided to move away, right?

I was going to wait until after thanksgiving to get the rest of our Christmas stuff out, but I think I may do that starting today.......the Christmas tree looks so lonely and bare with just lights on it. LOL I am SO excited about getting the house all decorated!!!!
