BackPack tag

I was lurking on the Fiskar site and saw an adorable backpack tag that someone made with scrap supplies!! I thought to myself  "I can do that!" My biggest challenge (well, other than picking the paper and embellishments....LOL) was finding a clear badge holder. I did find some, but you had to buy 25 of them, if not more!! Gosh, I only wanted one! I finally found one, but it was just a little too big for what I wanted. I finally got my hands on another one, and it was perfect! Once I got the paper and other things picked out, it came together super quick!!

It's no where near as nice or fancy as the one on the Fiskar site; here,

But it's still cute!! (Ty wouldn't have gone for the ribbon at the top, although I still made one or two ribbons on it.......)

Finally!

I actually got another layout done!!

I am SO loving the Halloween paper and cut-outs I just got! And yes, that pic is from 2010....I am THAT far behind. :(

Oh, and here is the one that had me stumped as far as the title....not sure I am happy with it, but it will work!

Hmm, I did just get some new Christmas stickers........Photobucket

Scrap goodies!!!

I can not tell you the last time I bought any scrap supplies. I was low on paper and almost totally out of adhesive!! I found a great place online to order some goodies.....happynscrappin! They have decent every day prices on things, but they have AMAZING prices on clearance items!! One of my favorite scrap brands is Fancy Pants......I found TONS of products on their site marked down!! I was out of holiday paper, mainly Halloween and Christmas. Fancy Pants has some of the coolest holiday paper!

The one set of Halloween is actually a sheet of Halloween strips. They were cute, but I loved the color of the back of the paper! Also, the dark red paper above says "Saint Nick" and it's ok, but the back is SO pretty!!

Even more paper.....

Once again, I love the front design but I was So drawn to the colors on the back!!

I also ordered some Halloween and Christmas glitter stickers as well as some Halloween rub-ons. And I got the Tombow adhesive, which was on clearance as well!! (I had ordered two but they only had one in stock)

The last thing I got was a whole kit called "Off to school". I LOVE it! It has glitter stickers, alphabet stickers, some transparency's and some rub-ons....and it was over 50% cheaper than any site I had looked at!!

I'm SO anxious to get some scrapping done, especially since I am SO far behind!!

Struggling

Ugh, I have ONE layout that has me stumped and not able to move on to another one!!!! I'm stuck with the title, and because of that I can not start a new layout.......I have a few ideas for the title, but just don't know if I like any of them!! I'm seriously thinking I may just pick a title, whether I like it or not, and just go with it and move on.......but I just know i'll dwell on it and it will bug the hell out of me......AHHHHHHHH!!!!! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Whew, ok.......I feel better......

Decisions

For awhile now i've been wanting some sort of die cutting machine, mainly to do some alpha die cuts for tittles for scrapbook pages. I absolutely LOVE the Cricut, but it is way out of my price range. I had tried saving some survey money to get one, but something always came up. And to be honest, I would feel so guilty buying something like that. I was getting some alphabet die cuts (already cut) from ebay and Listia, but they are getting so hard to find anymore. I was looking into either getting the Sizzix machine or possibly the Cuttlebug. As I said, I don't really want it to cut out actual shapes, but mainly for letters for tittles for my layouts. I got a set of alphabet die cuts from someone on Listia and the font was called Wingo Zingo, and I loved them!! They were cut with a Sizzix, so i'm kind of leaning more towards getting that machine. I've seen them on craigslist and a few other sites, but I get Amazon gift cards more than anything so i'm thinking of just saving up and getting the Sizzix Machine and an alphabet die cut (probably Wingo Zingo to start). Some day i'll get my Cricut, but for now i'm thinking the Sizzix will work for me........

Anyone have a die cutting machine they love/hate?!?

Layout

I'm waiting for some scrapbook paper to finish up Chase's first year scrapbook, so I decided to just go ahead and get started on the next album. I was going through pics I had printed and found some recent pics I took of Chase doing a somersault........well, I just had to scrap them!!!

I'm not 100% sold on this layout yet....I know it needs something still. I need to go through my scrap stuff and see if something catches my eye to add to this......

I also need to get pics taken of Chase's first year album and get them uploaded!!

On a roll!!

I can't believe it, but I am just about caught up on Chase's first year album!!! I do need to go back and add some journaling to the layouts, and I need to get some things to add to his first Christmas layout, but for the most part I am really rolling the layouts out! I didn't get a chance to get pics of what I have done so far, but i'll hopefully get pics shortly........

Ok, it's going to snow......

....because I got a layout done!!! Photobucket Ok, ok....so it technically isn't all the way done, but all I need to add is the journaling and it will be complete!

I think i'll try and get a better pic of it later...maybe once I add the journaling?!? I am still so far behind, though..................

Missing my creativity

I SOOOO miss scrapbooking. We moved so I had to pack up all of my scrapbook stuff and we honestly just don't have the room to get it all out and set up......even the kitchen table is cluttered with junk! Photobucket I could probably make room in the boys bedroom (where we have all of our unpacked boxes right now) but I really don't know how long we will be staying in this home and I have no idea where in the world to put the stuff we still have packed up!! I've been doing a little digital scrapbooking, but it's not really the same..........ugh, i'm such a whiney hiney!

Speaking of the kitchen table being cluttered, i really need to get that cleared off and get more things organized around here. Apparently Ty's teacher (along with a second grade teacher) are doing home visits and I really want to make sure the house is in some kind of order......obviously i'm not going for spotless, but "lived in" would be nice! Photobucket Ahhh, I guess we'll see what I can accomplish today.

So it has been 3 weeks, as of tomorrow, that my tonsils have come out. I still have a dry cough, but other than that they healed nicely. I can pretty much eat what I was eating before, and the drinks that were tasting off are now tasting normal again. But get this......this morning I woke up and my right tonsil was hurting, especially when I would swallow. (just like when tonsilitis was strarting) How is it hurting when it's not even there?!?!? So weird......I took some of the pain medicine they gave me and it helped a little. I have my follow up appointment with the ENT doctor this coming Monday so we'll see what he has to say.

I can't believe Halloween is this weekend! Ty is getting so excited........I can't wait to see my boys all dressed up again. Photobucket

I also can't believe that November is Monday.....where has this year gone?!?!? I'm hoping to do some Christmas shopping for the boys after I drop Ty off at school on Monday. We have a few things for them already, which is good. We're going to get both boys a Pillow Pet.....Ty has been asking for one of those things for months now!!! He loves the pig they have, but so far I can only find that one online. He has also said he likes the puppy and the penguin, and i've seen both of those at Walmart. Of course we're getting Chase the monkey, which i've also seen at Walmart! I'm also hoping to get Ty some chapter books, as he just LOVES to read! Chase has been a little tougher to shop for......he's at that age where he's not quite big enough for things, or is too big for it. We are going to get him a Yo Gabba Gabba dvd, and we've gotten him some Elmo things so far, but that's about it. He LOVES anything with music, so i'll see what I can find at the store on Monday. Plus both boys will get new pj's, which we get them every year.....plus they will each get an ornament. I actually am looking forward to Christmas this year!!! In fact, yesterday while I was cooking dinner I put a Christmas cd in and was singing and dancing while cooking....Chase LOVED the music!!! Ty was outside playing and he came in and asked me "Mom, why in the world are you listening to Christmas music already?!?" Before I knew it, all three of us were dancing in the kitchen! I just love moments like that........Photobucket

I LOVE Target!!!

Target has a dollar section as soon as you walk into the store and I just love it!!! I always seem to find some super cute scrapbook things, specially ribbon. I had only been in their scrapbook section of the store once but they were SO expensive! Well, the other day I finally looked more in the isle and found TONS of stickers for only .99!!! I got some cute alpha stickers and a few packs of chipboard alphas that I had been needing. I also found some adorable glitter monkey stickers that go with Chase's party theme.....and they also had some packs of 12x12 paper for only .99! I need to build up my survey money more and get back into that scrapbook section to stock up!!! (Then all I need to do is find the time to get some scrapping done! LOL)
